The inner case (micro) is a minimum size body case that can store one lens in one flat-topped camera body such as the Leica M model, Fujifilm X100, and SONY α7C.
The minimum size allows you to carry the camera even in the small bag you usually use. This is usually fine.
Please note that it cannot be used with the "Keita Haginiba's ideal camera bag", Cordura Air, X-pac, and Adria products currently on sale.
