リアルな長さ。 

ネックストラップの必要十分な長さは68cmです。 これは撃影だけに特化した時の最適な長さだと僕は思います。 カメラを構える時に縦位置でも横位置でもこの長さがあれば十分です。 M型ライカのように撃影に集中してモニターなどをいちいち確認しないシューターや、 コンパクトになったミラーレス機で背面モニターよりもファインダー上で写真の確認をする現代のシューターには、 今までのような無意味に長いストラップは不要だと僕は思います。

The Ideal Length.

The essential length for a neck strap is 68cm. In my opinion, this is the optimal length when strictly focusing on the act of shooting. Whether holding the camera horizontally or vertically, this length is more than sufficient.

For shooters who concentrate on the moment and don't bother checking the monitor after every shot—like those using a Leica M—or for modern shooters who prefer the viewfinder over the rear LCD on compact mirrorless cameras, I believe the needlessly long straps of the past are no longer necessary.
